The Route

The Galway to Dublin route will comprise:

• A new build route from Galway to Athlone, with the route as yet to be decided,
• A new bridge across the river Shannon,
• 43km of cycleway on disused Railway corridors from Mullingar to Athlone,
• 91km of cycleway adjacent to Royal Canal.
